Book Ascom — Online Book Shop

Situation

The client required customization of an existing EC-CUBE 2 e-commerce platform to support its specific book-selling business requirements. The project involved implementing custom recurring-purchase functionality, developing custom themes and packages, and integrating a standalone third-party payment solution while maintaining compatibility with the EC-CUBE 2 architecture and conventions.

The project also required effective requirement clarification through a bridge Project Manager and familiarity with Japanese e-commerce terminology and interface labels.

Task

Develop and customize an online book shop based on EC-CUBE 2, enabling customers to purchase books online while providing the client with business-specific e-commerce functionality and payment integration.
