Hotel Management System — Property Management Platform

Situation

Hotel operations required a centralized system to manage reservations, room bookings, billing, guest information, and related operational workflows. The development environment was built around a heavily customized proprietary framework with limited external documentation, creating a significant onboarding and implementation challenge.

Task

Develop and extend a comprehensive hotel management platform to streamline day-to-day property operations, including reservations, room management, billing, and guest tracking.

Solution

Developed backend APIs and core business functionality for the hotel management platform using PHP and a customized CakePHP framework, integrated with an AngularJS single-page application and MySQL database. The solution leveraged the company’s existing proprietary framework patterns and reusable components to maintain consistency across different hotel-management modules.

Contribution

Owned backend development and core business logic implementation while rapidly understanding and extending the company’s customized enterprise framework. Key contributions included:
