TuiHat Karaoke — Digital Karaoke & Music Streaming

Situation

The platform needed to combine conventional web application functionality with real-time media streaming. Key challenges included:

• Integrating a dedicated streaming engine into the web application.
• Supporting karaoke and music-related workflows.
• Coordinating multiple engineering responsibilities across a small team.
• Translating business requirements into technical implementation.
• Selecting and integrating an appropriate streaming technology.

Task

Develop a digital karaoke and music-streaming platform that supports karaoke and music-consumption workflows while integrating external music services and real-time media-streaming capabilities. The project required coordination between business requirements, backend development, streaming technology, and multiple engineering responsibilities.

Solution

Developed and coordinated a Laravel-based music/karaoke web application integrated with Wowza Streaming Engine for media streaming. The solution combined:

• PHP/Laravel backend services.
• Bootstrap/jQuery web interface.
• MySQL database.
• Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
• Git-based source control.
• Wowza Streaming Engine for media streaming.
• External music-service integrations.

The implementation separated conventional business/application functionality from specialized media-streaming capabilities.
