Situation

The project needed to translate education-related business requirements into concrete application functionality while integrating a custom Laravel application with Moodle. Key challenges included:

• Ambiguous or incomplete requirements.
• Converting business concepts into implementable technical specifications.
• Coordinating development responsibilities across a small team.
• Designing the interaction between custom Laravel modules and Moodle.
• Prioritizing features and implementation work.
• Managing the project from requirements through development and delivery.

Task

Develop an education-focused web application supporting education-related workflows for students, educators, and institutional users. The project required combining custom application functionality with Moodle as an existing Learning Management System (LMS), while coordinating requirements, architecture, implementation, and delivery across a small engineering team.

Solution

Designed and coordinated an education web application using PHP/Laravel integrated with Moodle. The solution combined:

• Custom Laravel application modules.
• Moodle LMS functionality.
• MySQL data storage.
• JavaScript/jQuery/Bootstrap frontend components.
• Azure infrastructure.
• UML-based requirements and system analysis.

The development approach focused on clearly defining requirements and feature boundaries before implementation, then coordinating the team around prioritized functionality.
