Zebra, Pen Pencil Shop — EC-CUBE E-Commerce Customization

Situation

The client required an e-commerce system customized to its business requirements while continuing to use the standard EC-CUBE architecture. Key requirements included:

• Custom EC-CUBE packages / functionality.
• Custom storefront/theme development.
• Integration with a third-party payment system.
• Business-specific e-commerce functionality.
• Japanese e-commerce terminology, labels, and interface requirements.
• Delivery according to client schedules and deadlines.

Task

Develop and customize an EC-CUBE-based e-commerce web application to support the client’s online commerce operations, including custom packages, themes, and third-party payment integration.

Solution

Built and customized an EC-CUBE-based e-commerce application using PHP, MySQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Bootstrap, Smarty, and Twig. The implementation followed EC-CUBE standards while adding custom functionality through packages, themes, and a standalone third-party payment plugin, maintaining the established EC-CUBE architecture.
